She was born on March 16, 1941 in Jacksonville, Texas to Dennis and RosaNell Grimes.
Joyce was married to Howard Loden for 59 years.
She is predeceased by parents Dennis and RosaNell Grimes, Brothers Billy Grimes, Bobby Joe Grimes, Ferrell Dee (Pedro) Grimes, Sister Kathryn Dell Arnold, and husband Howard Loden.
She is survived by Daughter Anita Woodlee-Roach and Cody Roach of Rusk, Lisa Hensley of Rusk. Grandchildren Kayla and Zach Morgan, Mason Woodlee, Jacob Woodlee, Jordan and Morgan Roach, and Lara Hensley. Great grandchildren Gabriel and Avery Morgan, Holden and Haze Roach. Sisters Carolyn Henderson of Jacksonville and Shirley Morrow of Jacksonville. And several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Mason Woodlee, Jacob Woodlee, Zach Morgan, and Cody Roach.
A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk, Texas. A celebration of life will also be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Rusk, Texas. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Atoy Cemetery.
