Died: January 16, 2026 in Oregon, IL
Today shalt thou be with me in paradise! Joyce Ann Mallette, 89, of Oregon, Illinois passed into the arms and embrace of the Father and her Redeemer-Brother-Savior Jesus on the morning of January 16th, 2026.
Born in the small, southern town of Walnut Cove, NC to Dude and Edna Hall, Joyce, with her parents and 4 siblings, moved to Tennessee and then to the Mt. Morris, IL area. After marrying at 15, she raised her five children, and compassionately fostered many other children, even at times when every penny counted. During her many years in Oregon, Joyce worked and assisted in supporting her family as a licensed cosmetologist, a professional cake decorator, and home remodeler. Her ever-friendly manner and competent ways made her a first choice by many.
However, Joyce's most important service and profession was that of an Ordained Minister. She came to know Jesus Christ through her best friend, Rev. Rose Aluli. In the mid-60s, God caused Rose to meet and help Joyce, as she was experiencing some of the most difficult times of her life. Ordained in 1998, the comfort of the Lord kept Rev. Joyce Mallette every day of her life: and by the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Life, the peace of God's presence in her daughter Jackie's home was hers to her final, victorious breath - and now, Paradise! Even as He promised.
Joyce is survived by her children: Brian, Brenda (Jeff), Jackie (Eric) and Kelly (Jeff), as well as 16 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in love by her faithful and loving husband, Bill; son, Jeff; and grandson, Cyrus.
Joyce's burial ceremony at Daysville Cemetery will honor her living Testimony and memory with a private service on a beautiful January morning.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 1 Cor 13:12
