Joyce Mann, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 3, 1937, to James and Hazel Ragland in Bonnieville, Kentucky.
Joyce was a devoted mother, mamaw, sister, and friend whose kind heart and warm spirit touched everyone she met. She was known for making the best bologna sandwiches — always crafted with love and a touch of her signature care. A long-time member of Ralph Avenue Baptist Church, Joyce’s faith and generosity guided her throughout her life. She was always the first to lend a helping hand or share a comforting word, embodying true compassion and selflessness.
Joyce found great joy in spending time with her family, especially on cherished trips to Barren River, where she created countless memories that will live on in the hearts of those she loved. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo, going bowling, attending tractor pulls, yard-saling, and spending time outdoors camping, boating, and laughing with friends and family.
Joyce’s gentle spirit, giving nature, and unwavering love for her family will forever be remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.
Joyce is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, LeRoy Mann; parents, Hazel and James Ragland; grandson, Andrew Cox; siblings, Hershel Ragland, Belva Priddy, Jean Reynolds, Nadine Gibbs, and Mary Carroll; brother-in-law, Jerry Dixon; and sister-in-law, Eva Dixon.
Left to cherish her memory, Joyce is survived by her children, Belinda Cunningham, Cheryl Milburn, Bonnie Frost (Larry), Theresa Brown (Ritchie), Lori Cox (Danny), and Jamie Mann (Angie); 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; siblings, Glen Ragland, Debbie Devore, Patsy Burba, and Lillian Ragland; many nieces/nephews; and a host of extended family and close friends.
