Joyce Marshall, 77, our beloved Mother, was called to her eternal resting place on June 8th, 2024. She entered this world on August 23, 1946, in Paris, France, born to John and Colette Rafferty. Joyce lived in several different states after moving from France before eventually settling in Orlando, Florida where she raised her two boys. Joyce kept her boys active in sports and was often seen watching her son’s baseball games from the stands. She also was an excellent cook and her French influences were in many of her delicious recipes enjoyed by her family and friends.
Joyce worked at Hertz Rent-A-Car for over 35 years and was the recipient of numerous company awards and thankful customers who would write her letters of appreciation. Hertz was so impressed with Joyce that they flew her to New York City to film a company promotional video highlighting good customer service.
After retiring in 2008 , Joyce enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Her passion was caring for others. Joyce frequently visited the V.A. hospital and local nursing homes, chatting with the residents and handing out treats.
She is survived by her son Tim Marshall (Pam); son Darren Marshall (Tracy); brother Jack Rafferty; brother Sean Rafferty; granddaughter Alyssa Marshall; grandson Brandon Marshall and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held at 5pm with a service to follow at 6pm at Colonial Funeral Home 2811 Curry Ford Rd, Orlando Florida 32806.
