Joyce McBride Obituary
Funeral services will be held March 28, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Joyce L. McBride , 90, who passed away March 26, 2025. Reverend Brian Taylor, pastor of St. Genevieve Church, will conduct the services. Lectors for the service will be Krystal McBride and Nikki Sonnier. Karen Broussard, musician and vocalist, will perform, "Amazing Grace", "My Shepherd is the Lord", "Isaiah 49 (I Will Never Forget You My People)", "Make Me a Channel of Your Peace", and "On Eagle's Wings". Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Glen P. (Charlotte) McBride of Church Point, Tim (Carolyn) McBride of Lafayette, and Alan (Lyn) McBride of Spring, TX; two sisters, Patsy Guidry of College Station, TX, and Ruth Genest of Lydia, LA; one brother, Daniel Landry of New Iberia; six grandchildren, Krystal McBride, Jamey Domec, Rebekah Hayes, Samuel McBride, Nicole Brooks, and Nikki Sonnier; and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Dudley McBride; son, Giles Joseph McBride, and parents, the former Anna Mae LeBlanc and Fred Patrick Landry.
Joyce was a native of Iberia Parish and lived in Lafayette most of her life.
Pallbearers will be Glen P. McBride, Tim McBride, Alan McBride, Mark Sonnier, and Samuel McBride.
The family requests that visitation Friday, March 28, 2025 between the hours of 9:00 am - 2:00 pm at Walters Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 1:00 pm.
