Joyce H Mehsikomer

Joyce Mehsikomer, age 95 of Lake Elmo, Minnesota, passed away on January 8, 2024. Joyce, also known as Helen Joyce Mehsikomer, was born on August 31, 1928, to Albert and Helen (Runk) Ritzer. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Joyce will be deeply missed by her three children: Patti (Keith) Hutchinson, Steve (Theresa) Mehsikomer, and Greg (Marie) Mehsikomer; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Josephine "Jo" (Allan) Studtmann, Jane (Conrad) Workman, Jennifer (Charles) Harmon, sister-in-law Margaret Ritzer, and brothers Jerry (Julie) Ritzer and Tim (Roz) Ritzer; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved church family.
Joyce's husband, Donald Mehsikomer, preceded her in death, along with her parents; brothers James Ritzer, John Ritzer, Jeffery Ritzer; sister Judy Schmitt; brother-in-law Donavin Schmitt; and nephews Joshua and Jacob Harmon.
Joyce was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, and foster mother. She fostered 47 babies and small children, providing them with a good start in life. Joyce's family and friends remember her fondly as the hostess of many fun holidays, birthdays, weddings, and baby showers in Lake Elmo.
She was an active member of St. Ann's Chapel in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, where she held various roles, including running the church store and managing the church's financial records. Joyce's dedication to her church was a priority in her life and kept her mind sharp.
Joyce will be deeply missed by her loved ones and her church family. Her long and rewarding life touched the lives of many, and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Friday, January 12, 2023 at St. Ann's Chapel, 2445 East County Road E, White Bear Lake. On Thursday, January 11, a Rosary will be said at 3:30 PM followed by Visitation from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Ave N, Stillwater. Interment St. Michael's Cemetery, Bayport.
