Joyce Ruth Mertz, 96 of Corydon, Indiana went to be with her Lord on Friday, August 2, 2024. Joyce was born to the late Leslie and Lillie Arbuckle on July 17, 1928, in Edmonson County, Kentucky. She is proceeded in death by her beloved husband James Edward Mertz, her kids, David Slayton (Francis), Gregory Rountree. Her siblings, Bill Arbuckle, Jess Arbuckle, Katherine Habick, and Joann Sherrard. Left behind to carry on Joyces love and memories are her kids, Mark Steven Mertz (Joetta), and Brad Mertz. She was blessed with many grandchildren, Travis Mertz, Lance Mertz, Jennifer Yates, Mark Slayton, Jessica Slayton, Philip Mertz, Kristen Mertz - Martin, Chaz Mertz, Sarah Mertz - Gresham. She had many great great grandchildren, Kaitlin, Jackson, Weston, Jane, Ryker, Arrow, Zoey, and Jax, Kaleb, Drake, and many more. Joyce was a homemaker, she loved cooking, doing crafts, quilting, and spending time with her family especially all her grand babies. Visitation will take place at Louisville Memorial Gardens West on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 11:00am.
