Joyce Ann Metz

Metz, Joyce A., "Joy". Beloved daughter of the late Alvin and Virginia (nee Murphy) Metz. Loving sister of Jan A. Metz, Thomas E. Metz, and the late Edward A. Metz, Jr (liv. Loretta), and Robert L. Metz. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by her beloved cat, Chester Amso Byrd III. Passed away on September 11th at the age of 77. She began her career in education teaching at St. Dominic School in Delhi before moving on to Kenton County Schools where she was a teacher, counselor and principal until her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed skiing, reading, hiking at various parks, and traveling.

Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Wednesday, September 17th from 12pm until time of Funeral Mass at 1pm at St. Dominic Church, 4551 Delhi Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45238. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Old Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mercy McAuley High School, 6000 Oakwood Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45224 Attn: Office of Advancement.
