Joyce L. Needy, 91, of Waynesboro, Pa passed away unexpectedly on Sunday August 17, 2025 at Quincy Village where she had been a resident since 2021.

Joyce was born on December 27, 1933 in Hagerstown,Md, the daughter of the late Cecil B and Nettie (Kinsey) Delauter. She was preceded in death in 2015 by both her husband of over 57 years, Terry A Needy and son Jefferey L Needy as well as her brothers Cecil Jr (Sonny), Orville, and Alfred.

She was a 1954 graduate of Washington Township High School. Joyce was employed as a telephone operator at United Telephone Co as well as Regency Card Company for a number of years. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

Joyce was a very fun loving person, enjoyed having a good time, was very caring and giving and spent nice days relaxing in the sun. While a resident at Quincy Village, she participated in crafts of all kinds and attended church services.

She is survived by her sister Miriam Massa of Florida, Robert (Janie) Delauter of Ebensburg, Pa and sister Carolyn (Edward) Bailey of Waynesboro, Pa as well as two granddaughters, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on September 13, 2025 at 1:30 pm at Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro, Pa with Pastor David Deatrich officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church 100 S Church Street Waynesboro, Pa 17268.
