Joyce Nichols, 78, of Hewitt, passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on March, 7, 2024.
A Celebration of Joyce's life will be held at Waco Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 11:00 am, with Brother Terry Wilkerson officiating. Food and fellowship will follow in the funeral home's Reception Center.
Joyce was born December 16, 1945 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Her family moved to Texas during her late-teen years. In 1968 she met the love of her life, Peter Nichols, 78, of Mohawk, New York; a Baylor University graduate. She went on to sell Tupperware and together, with Pete, ran two of the most, highly sought after Daycare Centers in Waco; The Pumpkin Patch, and Play 'N Learn.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Peter; daughter, Annette Davis and husband, Matt; son, Bradley Nichols and wife, Jerri; daughter, Valerie (Nikki) Nichols; grandchildren, Stephanie (Dani), Fischer, Parker, Logan, Dustin, Lindsey, Devin, Patience, Victor, and Sandra (Paige); and many great grandchildren. Her brother, John Oliver Monica and wife, Susan; sister, Roxanne Banker and husband, Sonny; and brother, Jude Ronald Monica.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
