Joyce Elaine Poloway

Joyce Elaine Poloway (nee Eagle), age 90, of Rochester Hills, passed away Thursday January 18, 2019.

Beloved mother of Karen Stewart, Linda (Ron) Roy, and Elaine Rais; dear grandmother of Michael (Jessica) Rais, Aryn Aulie, and Brandon (Nicole) Rais; and Great-grandmother of Ani and Amelia Rais. Joyce was predeceased by her first husband Russell Poloway; second husband Fred Warholak; and parents Harold and Myrtle Eagle.

Joyce was born the daughter of Harold and Myrtle (Jolly) Eagle in Highland Park, Michigan on February 8, 1928. She graduated from Mackenzie High School in 1946 and married Russell Poloway. Joyce raised her family with her husband in Northville, Michigan. She worked as a claim representative for League General Insurance. She retired to Hobe Sound Florida and later moved to Auburn Hills.

Joyce loved music and singing. She was also an accomplished painter. She was outgoing and loved meeting people, going places, and traveling with the Nomads. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Heritage of the Hills chapter, and the Ward Presbyterian Church.

Joyce's family will receive all for a visitation on Wednesday January 23rd, 2019 from 4 p.m. until 8pm with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan.
