Joyce E. "Sheridan" Resh

Joyce Ellen Resh, 80, of Fulton, Il, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of August 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Joyce was born on January 22, 1945, in Estherville, Iowa, the oldest of eight children born to Robert and Ellen Sheridan. She attended Estherville High School before marrying David Resh, in 1962. Shortly after, they moved to the Eagle Grove area where they raised their six children.

Joyce was a devout Christian and a loving mother who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid gardener and loved to spend her time baking, cooking, and canning. Her hands were rarely still, as she was also a talented knitter and crocheter. She cherished her beloved dog, Magoo, but more than anything, she adored her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Joyce is survived by her siblings, Joan Cross, Regina Gronbeck, Roberta Powers, Mary Leininger, Robert Sheridan, James Sheridan, and Matthew Sheridan; children, Brenda Konecne, Daniel Resh, and Dennis Resh and a large and loving family of 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ellen Sheridan; children, Stacey Resh, David Resh Jr., and Douglas Resh; and grandchildren, Derek Downing, Malachi Russell, and Devin Resh.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 29, 1:30 pm at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with visitation from 12:00 to 1:30. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
