Joyce (Terry) Richmer, 97, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025. She had been a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Albany, along with the ladies auxiliaries at American Legion Post 28 and VFW Post 1693.
She was born on January 22, 1928 in New Albany to Elmer Terry and Ione (Young) Cox. Along with her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; and brothers, Willard and John Franklin, James, Tom and Gilbert Terry.
Joyce is survived by her children, John Richmer (Julie), Mary Kay Richmer Campbell, Michael Richmer (Leah Ann), Scott Richmer (Linda); 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Thursday after 11:30 a.m. Her funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joyce's memory may be made to St. Croix Hospice (2916 Peach Blossom, Suite 106, Jeffersonville, IN 47130).
