Joyce Elaine Roberts

Agawam- Joyce Elaine (Duffy) Roberts 92, a 50 year resident, died on May 11, 2025. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Joyce was the daughter of the late William C. and Pauline (Germaine) Duffy. She was the Deli Manager for Food Mart/ Waldbaums Grocery Stores for over 30 years and following retirement Joyce continued to work in the Deli of Geisslers Supermarket in Agawam.
Very talented at quilting, Joyce was a member of the Granville Quilting and Needlework Guild and also was very active in Monday morning quiltings at the Southwick Senior Center. She also shared a passion for crafting with friends who met every Wednesday and together they created pieces that family members will treasure for years to come. Joyce traveled cross country twice with two close friends, Jean and Cynthia.Their road trips took them across the south and then across the north of the U.S.
She is survived by her four sons, Carl F. Roberts Jr. (Karen), James Roberts (Karla), Jeffrey Roberts (Marlene), Kenneth Roberts (Jacqueline), a brother, William Duffy Jr.; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Lois Cain and Sheila Gulliksen.
Calling hours will take place from 11:00AM-1:00PM on Tuesday May 20, 2025 at the Colonial Forastiere Funeral & Cremation, 985 Main Street, Agawam, with a funeral home ceremony to follow at 1:00PM. Burial will take place in the Agawam Center Cemetery, Main St., Agawam. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St.Jude Childrens Hospital.
