Joyce J. Ross, age 74 years, of the Worley Hilltop Community died Monday, August 26, 2024 at her home.
She was born in Pickett County, Tennessee on December 2, 1949 the daughter of the late Harvey and Burnettie (Smith) Watson. Joyce was a member of the Dixie Freedom Baptist Church and had worked as a store owner, homemaker, and in the saw mill. Her family, Bingo family, and her little dog, Baby were dear to her heart.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Milford D. Ross; twin infant daughters, Tonya and Sonya Ross; brothers, Charlie Watson, Kenny Watson, and Sullivan Watson, and sisters, Nancy Watson, Bertha Watson, Cloteen Dolen, Lena Barnett, and Charity Watson.
Survivors include her son, Milford Lee Ross of Stearns, Kentucky; daughters, Joann Ross and Michelle Ross both of Stearns, Kentucky; brothers, Lee R. Watson of Seaman, Ohio and Harvey Watson Jr., of Whitley City, Kentucky; sister, Reda Miller of Revelo, Kentucky; grandchildren, Johnny Tucker, Jake Tucker, Alexis Anderson, and Lily Marnhout; and great grandchildren, James Malachi Tucker, Abram Tucker, Willow L. Tucker, Jaxon Tucker, and Naomi Tucker.
Funeral services will be held 6pm Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the McCreary County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Ross Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 4pm Thursday at the Funeral Home.
