Joyce D. Ryan

Ryan, Joyce D. (Lamb) of Hingham, died January 21, 2022.

Joyce had a smile that would light up any room and her laugh was contagious. She was an enthusiastic woman who took such pride in her family's accomplishments. She adored her family, especially her grandchildren. Spending time with them brought her the greatest joy. She also enjoyed golf, gardening, cooking, and traveling to Europe with her family. Joyce graduated from Hingham High School and was the former president of John J. Lamb Insurance Agency. She was truly the matriarch of the family who was a beautiful person inside and out. She was so much fun to be around with a great sense of humor and always put others first. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Beloved wife of 56 years to John V. "Jack" Ryan, Jr. Loving mother of John M. Ryan and his wife Pamela of Medford and Jeanne R. McPhail of Hingham. Cherished sister of Gayle Doucette and her husband Kenneth of Hingham, John Lamb of Hingham, Richard Lamb and his wife Mary of Weymouth, and the late Frederick Lamb and his surviving wife Karen of Hingham. Devoted Grandma of Molly Elizabeth Ryan, Lydia Rose Ryan, Lacey Lucille Ryan, Emma May Ryan, Michael Ryan McPhail, and Kathryn Grace McPhail. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and all of her close friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday 8:30-9:30 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM followed by the Funeral Mass in St. Paul's Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joyce may be made to Marine Corps League, National Headquarters, P.O. Box 1990, Stafford, VA 22555-1990.
