Joyce Elain Schuler

Joyce Elain Schuler (née Hardgrove) currently from Big Bend, WI and formerly from Marion, OH, peacefully passed away on October 22, 2021 at the young age of 64. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark A. Schuler and son, Bradley Schuler. Joyce was a beloved mother and is survived by her sons Matthew (Rachel) Schuler of Big Bend, WI and Bryant (Christine) Schuler of Eugene, OR. She loved being a grandmother to Bradley, Alex, Ethan and Harper. Joyce was the cherished daughter of the late Lloyd and Reba Hardgrove and daughter-in-law of the late Robert and Margaret Schuler. She was the fun-loving sister of Tom (Ellen, and late Deb) Hardgrove, Tim (Mary) Hardgrove, Jeanne (Chuck) Black, and Todd (Karen) Hardgrove and sister-in-law to Karen Clabaugh (Joe Szabo), Barb (Jim) Greetham, the late Margaret Lee, and Molly (Steve) Aden. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who will always remember her for the way she would light up a room. Joyce was a former employee of Harley Davidson (WI), Marion General Hospital, and Smith Clinic in Marion. She spent her retirement doing what she loved – visiting with family and spending time with her grandchildren in Wisconsin and Oregon.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 10am at Hales Corners Lutheran Church in Hales Corners, WI. On Saturday, November 20, 2021 she will be laid to rest alongside her husband and son at the St. Mary's cemetery in Marion, OH. A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at All Occasions Catering in Waldo, OH at 12:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, you may honor her memory with a donation to St. Judes Children's Hospital or to an ALS chapter either in Milwaukee or central Ohio.
