Joyce Shuler Obituary
Joyce Brown Shuler, 72 of Sylva, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025. She was born on July 5, 1952, to the late Melvin and Esther Sullivan Brown. Joyce enjoyed flowers, bird watching, and spending time with her family.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ronnie Shuler; daughters, Regina Cope (Tony), Ronda Moore; son, Josh Brown; step daughters, Misty Taylor (Mark), Pam Buchanan (Darrell); grandchildren, Chance (Nica), Rosa, Kimberly (Ray), Summer, Savannah, Brooke, Austin, Darren (Jimiqua), James, Dillan; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Malcolm (Susan), Kelvin, Kevin, Marvin (Joan); sister, Donna (John); brother in law, Donnie and Kenny (Erinda); sister in law, waynefica. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by one great grandchild.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, June 5, 2025, in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. Rev. Eddie Stillwell and Rev. Steve Webb will be officiating. Burial will follow at Balsam Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:00-1:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
