Joyce Marie Sigwarth-Longerbeam passed away on September 4th, 2025, at the age of 72. She was born on November 24th, 1952, in Manchester, Iowa to her parents Ewald and Marie Sigwarth who preceded her in death.
On December 27th, 1980, Joyce was united in marriage to the love of her life, Ronald Longerbeam at the St. Patrick's Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Joyce had several interests, which included gardening, doll collecting, going to garage sales with her mom, and spending time with her family. Ron and Joyce loved dancing together to the oldies. Buddy Holly tribute concerts in Clear Lake held a special place in her heart. She worked for 40 years at Quaker Oats. She took pride in her work and built many lasting friendships from her time there. Her greatest joy in life, by far, was being the best Nana to Caleb.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ronald and siblings Eugene Sigwarth, Patricia Stark and Lynn Sigwarth.
She is survived by her daughter Chelsea Longerbeam; Grandchild Caleb Gagola; Siblings Marlene Sigwarth, Richard (Christine) Sigwarth, Earl (Judy) Sigwarth, Karen Keenan, Judy Mackert and Steve Sigwarth.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12th, 2025, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories beginning at 11:00 A.M., with visitation prior from 9:00-11:00 A.M. There will be a burial to follow in the Memorial Lawn section, where Joyce and Ron will be reunited and laid to rest together.
