In Loving Memory of Joyce Fern Stewart
On January 16, 2025, Joyce Fern Stewart, aged 97, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, William Victor Stewart; her parents, Gertrude and Otis Fitch; her daughter, Judy Gibson; her son, Larry Stewart; and her grandsons, Charles Stewart and Jeremy Donohoo; her sisters, Earline Howard and Dorothy Nolan.
Joyce leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory, including her children: Jerry Stewart, Frances Stewart, Becky Flowers, Eddie Flowers, Sandy Ramsey, and Sammy Ramsey and her sisters, Norma Moore and Carolyn Fitzgerald. She also leaves a legacy of 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
A woman of deep faith, Joyce was a devoted member of Middle Valley Church of God for many years. She loved her family dearly and found great joy in spending time with them. She had a passion for gardening, a flair for shopping, and a competitive spirit that often saw her triumph in dominoes. Above all, her love for her Savior shaped her life and inspired those around her.
In addition to her children and grandchildren, Joyce is survived by her two sisters, many nieces and nephews, and her cherished African Grey parrot, Lacey, who brought her joy for 20 years.
Her life was a testament to faith, love, and family, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
The service for Joyce Stewart will be held on January 22nd,2025, at Middle Valley Church of at 2:00 pm. The Visitation will be held at the same location from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. The Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson, TN.
