Joyce A Vaughn (nee LaFevers), age 59, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 13, 1964 to George and Wanda LaFevers (nee Sparks).
Joyce Ann was a very loving and caring woman always there when you needed a shoulder to cry on or just needed a laugh she helped out a lot of folks and her love was unconditional and genuine.
She sure did love those pajamas and she loved the casino. She always would say, "Let’s go push buttons."
She was a very loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin who never wanted any of us to give up. She would always push us hard to be very successful. She was always straight to the point and meant everything she said!! So in the loving voice of Joyce Ann - “Toughen up buttercup, don't cry over me. You will see me soon. I love you.”
She was preceded in death by her parents and some of her siblings; Phyllis Robbins, Millie Murphy, Vicky Wagner, David, Bridget and Buddy LaFevers.
Joyce and her husband Troy have enjoyed 40 years together. Joyce is the mother of Troy (Amy) Vaughn, Jr., Kasey Vaughn and Donald (Alexandria Hinkston) Vaughn. She is the devoted grandma of Chloee, Landen, Lilyana, Fisher, Dewayne "JoJo", Aaliyah "Ice Ice Baby", Kristian, Azaria "ZZ", Somoiya "MoMo", Penelope "P" and Ezekiel "Zeke".
Joyce is survived by siblings, Jackie (Don) McClane, Roberta (Jim) Hillis, Bobby (Tabatha) LaFevers, Betty Jo (Bill) Scruggs, Gregory (Sanda) LaFevers and Douglas (Diane) LaFevers. She enjoyed being the aunt of 28 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6 PM to 8 PM, Friday, August 2, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati (45211)
