Joyce Walker Obituary
Mrs. Joyce McSwain Walker, 89, passed away Thursday October 26, 2023 at Wendover Hospice. A native of Cleveland County, she was born on, May 28, 1934, daughter of the late Cletus Almond and Zuda Brooks McSwain. In addition to her parents, he is preceded in death by her husband, Unee Crawford Walker, three siblings, Arlin McSwain, Eda Humphries, and Donnis Jenkins, one granddaughter, Kelli Walker.
Mrs. Walker is survived by three children, Wanda Causby and husband Tommy, Dana Walker and wife Tammy, Mark Walker and wife Debbie all of Shelby, five grandchildren, Alan Causby, Amy Phillips and husband Chris, Jonathan Walker and wife Mary, Justin Walker and wife Nicole, and Matthew Walker all of Shelby, and seven great grandchildren.
Mrs. Walker was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Shelby. She also retired from the former Fiber Industries.
The family will receive friends Sunday, October 29, 2023, from 6-7:30 pm at Cleveland Funeral Services and Crematory.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm Monday, October 30, 2023, at, Beaver Dam Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Tom Runyon. Burial will immediately follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
Assisting with Mrs. Walkers homegoing celebration as pallbearers are as follows: Doug Ledford, Jonathan Walker, Dylan Causby, Justin Walker, Matthew Walker, and Chris Phillips.
