Carmichael, California - Joyce V. Warmolts, wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends on February 15th 2023. Joyce was 87 years old, born October 18, 1935, the only child of Walter and Iria Sundman. She was always very proud of her Finnish heritage. Joyce grew up in Berkely, California, and graduated from the University of California where she met her first husband Jack Baird. They moved to Sacramento where they raised their three sons Jeff, Jonathan, and Jerry. Joyce was a loving full-time mother spending many years at little league games. Joyce was blessed with one grandson, Robert, the apple of her eye. After the two divorced, Joyce met and married Leo Warmolts and they had many wonderful and happy years together. They traveled the world, and loved to play tennis at Arden Hills, where Joyce won many trophies. They also played golf and took many golf trips to Mexico. Joyce belonged to a longtime stock club with 16 of her best friends that have been together for over 40 years.
She is predeceased by her two sons Jeff and Jonathan, her husband Leo and her ex husband, Jack. She is survived by her son Jerry and grandson Robert, and stepson John and step granddaughters Kayla and Maddie. We will all miss her so much and can't imagine life without Joyce, such a strong and beautiful woman.
The funeral service for Joyce will be held at Sierra View Mortuary 6201 Fair Oaks Blvd, Carmichael on Friday March 3rd at 10:30am, and will be followed by her interment at Fair Oaks Cemetery. All are invited to a celebration of life at Arden Hills Country Club following the service.
