Joyce A Watkins age 63, of Anderson, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord & Savior on July 19th, 2024, at Community Hospital after an extended illness. Joyce was born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 5th, 1961, to Jo Edna Mallory.
She attended school and grew up in Newport, Arkansas and was raised in love by her Aunt Odell Phillips. Joyce enjoyed being the life of the party bringing love, humor, and laughter to all those around her. It brought her great joy to care for others especially her family.
In her spare time, she enjoyed watching all things on the Lifetime channel, dancing, listening to music, and, of course, consuming her favorite foods and snacks. Joyce loved her Shirley Temple movies, Imitation of Life, & the Preachers Kid. She will be deeply missed by all those that loved & knew her.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband Rickie Watkins whom she shared a union of 32 years (together for 39 years). Two sons Timothy (Felicia) Golden Sr, and Antonio Golden, two daughters Angela Watkins, and Holly Watkins (special friend Jerrell Kimbell), two stepdaughters, La Kia Watkins, and LaTrecha Watkins. One sister Joan Mallory and two brothers Robert Mallory, and Jamie Mallory all of Newport, Arkansas.
15 grandchildren; Tobias Watkins, Dontay Golden, Jamera Robinson, Mariah Stigler, Timesha Golden, Zahan Robinson, Zavion Robinson, Reality Golden, Timerah Golden and Romeo Dabney, Timothy Golden Jr., Zyara Watkins, Ka'Darien Kimbell, Járriyae Kimbell, Khamari Golden, and Ma'Kai Golden. One great granddaughter Roma Dabney.
Special nieces; Andrea Mallory, Lateljia Mallory, and Monica Mallory. Special nephew: Jamie Mallory Jr. Special great nieces: Jasmen Jackson and Kevonna Fordham. and Special great nephews: James Jackson Jr., Trequan Mallory, Andrez Mallory, and Charles Mallory. Special Uncle-in-law Johnny "J.S." Smith, and Special cousin Marilyn Barnes.
She was proceeded in death by her mother Jo Edna Mallory, daughter Kizzy Golden, brothers Richard Mallory, and Charles Mallory, and special Aunt Odell Phillips.
