Joyce M. Webber

Joyce Marie (Richardson) Webber, a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully Sunday May 14, 2023 at Lydia Taft House, Uxbridge. She was the cherished wife of John H. Webber for 54 years.
Born on March 25, 1948, in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Walter Richardson and Nora (Wiggins) Richardson.
Joyce was a resident of Bellingham, Massachusetts for over 45 years, recently moving to Douglas, Massachusetts.
Joyce was a talented chef who brought joy to many through culinary creations. Her passion for cooking was evident in both her professional and personal life. As a chef, she took great pride in her work and was always eager to share her culinary skills with others. Joyce was known for her friendly demeanor and faith-filled spirit, which made her a beloved figure in her community. Throughout her life, Joyce was a devoted Catholic and her faith played a significant role in shaping the loving and compassionate person she was.
Family was always a priority for Joyce. In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by her daughter Nora Raymond and her husband Michael of Harrisville, Rhode Island; son John Webber, Jr. and his wife Gina of Douglas; son James Webber and his wife Tina of Thompson, Connecticut; and daughter Sarah Buskey and her husband Paul of Uxbridge. Joyce is also survived by her sister Sally Grigsby of NV; and sister Mary Goetz and her husband Marvin of KY; and was predeceased by her brothers Walter, Charles, James, John, and Stephen. Joyce was a cherished aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be carried on by her loving family.
In her free time, Joyce enjoyed playing keno, bingo and slot machines, a pastime that brought her excitement and joy; often making new friends along the way. Above all, Joyce always made sure that her family came first, and she cherished the time she spent with her loved ones.
Joyce will be remembered as a friendly, faith-filled, and loving individual who touched the lives of many. Joyce will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday May 16, 2023 from 4 -7 PM in the Buma Funeral Home, 101 N. Main Street, Rte. 122, Uxbridge.
A Catholic Mass will be held Wed. May 17, 2023 from the funeral home at 8 AM to form a procession for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM in St. Blaise Catholic Church, 1158 South Main St., Bellingham, MA.
Burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, Granite St., Uxbridge.
