Born on July 6, 1934, in Birkenhead, England, to John and Eva Mullen, Joyce "Jo" Wilde lived a life defined by courage, love, and devotion to family.
A survivor of the WWII Blitz, Jo's resilience and strength were evident from an early age. She later immigrated to Ontario, Canada, where she met and married A.V. Wilde. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising four children: Deborah (deceased), Kenneth, David, and Christopher (deceased).
In 1967, Jo and her family immigrated once more - this time to California - where she made a warm and welcoming home that became the heart of her family and community. NO ONE who came to Jo's door was ever turned away; she had a way of turning friends into family and making everyone feel like they belonged.
Jo was the rock of her family. She selflessly devoted her later years to caring for two of her ailing children and helping raise two of her granddaughters - an enduring testament to her love, strength, and compassion.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth and David; daughters-in-law, Alma and Beth; sisters, Olive and Eileen; granddaughters, Adrianne, Shannon, Jacqualine, and Jennifer; and great-grandchildren, Andrew, Jackie, Michael, Noah, and Olivia.
Jo is preceded in death by her beloved husband, A.V. Wilde; mother, Eva Pursall; daughter, Deborah Wirsgalla; son, Christopher Wilde; and granddaughter Jacqueline Wilde.
Her presence was a gift to all who knew her - a part of our lives that can never be replaced. She will be forever loved and deeply missed.
