Joyce H. Williams, of Hilbert WI (formerly of Combined Locks, WI), age 89, was called to the Lord on September 17, 2024. She was born in Kimberly, WI on January 31, 1935 to the late John and Phyllis (Baumann) Smits. On June 3rd, 1954, Joyce married the love of her life, James A. Joyce worked at Penney's for a few years before becoming a stay at home Mom for her five children. When the children were older she also worked retail at Gimbels for a few years.
Joyce loved fishing, sewing, Packer games and bowling. She also loved planting plants and flowers in her yard and loved being outside, doing yard work. She would tell funny stories to the grandkids and she had a picture book that had no words but she made up the story through the pictures. She also handmade some of her children's clothes when they were younger.
The most important thing to her was her family and spending time with them. Joyce always made sure the family played together. She made reservations every year to rent a cottage, go to the zoo and go on many picnics at di erent locations. She later enjoyed her time with her family in the north woods by Anderson Lake and also when they bought and remodeled their home on Lake Winnebago in 1979.
She loved to sit on the deck with her husband Jim at their house on Lake Winnebago. She enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and having a few cocktails together and talk about their day.
She also loved fashion and always looked amazing. She was a sweet, gentle, person and will be missed by many.
