Joyce M. "Mummert" Zepp

Joyce M. (Mummert) Zepp, 74 of Dover passed away peacefully at Providence Place Senior Living of Dover on Friday, August 29, 2025. She was the beloved wife of 22 years to the late Francis L. "Bud" Zepp, Jr. until his passing on May 7, 2013.

Born April 20, 1951 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late William and Edna (Phillips) Mummert.

Joyce was a member of the Lutheran Congregation at St. Paul's Dubs Union Church where she served on the Consistory. She also enjoyed walking, especially at the mall, shopping and spending time with her beloved dogs. Additionally, she is fondly remembered as a selfless caregiver, especially to friends and family in need.

Mrs. Zepp is survived by two daughters: Michelle M. Bankert and husband Tim of Spring Grove and DeeAnne L. McDaniel and husband Brian of York; four stepdaughters: Stacy L. Zepp of VA, Angie R. Zepp of Hanover, Lori A. McKinney of New Oxford and Aimee E. Snyder and husband Nick of VA; three siblings: Eugene Mummert and wife Claudia, Nancy Nardis and husband Donald and Gail Plitt and husband Nelson; four grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Mummert.

A memorial service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held at 7pm on Friday, September 12th at Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.; 549 Carlisle St. in Hanover, where the family will receive friends from 6pm until the start of the service.
