Joye Elaine (Barton) Howser was born on January 23, 1957, a daughter of James Earl and Loral Mae (Alexander) Barton and left for glory on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Mosaic Life Care. Mrs. Howser had attained the age of 68.

Mrs. Howser was united in marriage on November 13, 1982 in Maries county to the love of her life, Clinton Benjamin Howser. To this happy union, one daughter was born, Ella Amanda (Howser) Steiner. Mrs. Howser was preceded in death by her husband on July 26, 1994, her father, James, her mother, Loral, her brothers Jerry, William, Daniel and Sonny, her sisters Betty, Dorothy and Mary.

Mrs. Howser was saved and baptized as a teenager and was a past member of Hancock Christian Church. She always felt her rededication to Christ and church home was Living Word Worship Center in Dixon, Missouri.

Mrs. Howser was a teacher with the Dixon R-1 School District until retirement. While Mrs. Howser loved her school kids and her school family, her daughter, son-in-law and grandsons were the loves of her life.

Those left to mourn the passing and to celebrate the going home of Mrs. Howser include: her daughter and son-in-law, Ella and Brett Steiner, grandsons Chance and Brady Steiner of St. Joseph, Missouri. One sister Margie Smith, one brother Wilbur Barton, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation for Mrs. Howser will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home, 205 W 3rd St, Dixon, Missouri 65459. Interment will be next to her heart, Clint, in Seaton Cemetery near Dixon, Missouri.
