The family of Mr. James Robert Moore, Jr. "Mo" gratefully acknowledges all acts of sympathy shown during their time of bereavement and loss. May God continue to bless each of you.
Mr. James Robert Moore, Jr. "Mo," age seventy-six, departed this life and entered into eternal rest Sunday, December 1, 2024 at his residence in Timberlake, North Carolina. He was born in Person County October 6, 1948 to the late James Robert Moore, Sr. and Mattie Thorpe Moore, was a member of New Hope Person Baptist Church and a Veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Charles Moore.
He leaves to cherish precious memories, his wife, Minister Brenda Hunt-Moore of Oxford, North Carolina; children: Tasha Moore Jeffers of Morrisville, North Carolina, James R. Moore, III of Burlington, North Carolina and Janae Godsey of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; grandchildren: Journei, Railynn and Michael "MJ"; siblings: Shirley Grier of Frederick, Maryland, Bernice Johnson of Hurdle Mills, North Carolina, Angeline Cash (James), Alean Bailey and Jennifer Moore, all of Timberlake, North Carolina, Anthony Moore, Sr. (Evelyn) of Roxboro, North Carolina and Melvin Moore of Durham, North Carolina; a sister-in-law, Ollie Moore, also of Roxboro; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held Friday, December 6, 2024 at 2:00pm at New Hope Person Baptist Church, 1261 Tom Oakley Road, Timberlake, North Carolina 27583, with the Reverend Dr. W.L. Richardson, Pastor, providing the eulogy. Visitation will also be Friday at the church during the hour prior to the service when his body will lie in state from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
At other times, the family will receive visitors at 1042 Dick Holeman Road in Timberlake.
