Jr. Turner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home on Aug. 5, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Arvel Turner, Jr., 60, known to his family and friends as "Jr", would have it known that as of Monday, August 4, 2025, he is "Happy in the Lord".

Jr was born on March 16, 1965, in Irvine Kentucky. He was a graduate of Madison Central High School and would go on to be an employee of Sherwin-Williams for over 30 years, where he met some of the most amazing people that would be life-long friends. His true passion however was farming alongside his father and tinkering on classic trucks.

Jr. was a genuine, humble and kind man with the most helpful hands and heart. A man of few words, who's words were far louder than most, and made a magnitude of impact on all he encountered.

Survivors include: his wife, Donna Kindred Turner; his parents, Arvel & Ruth Turner; his children, Christian Blake Turner (Taylor), Victoria Paige Hall (Kenneth), and Kaydon Kindred Eads (Nate); his two grandchildren, Ellie & Gracie Hall; his siblings, Sue Terry, Linda Hall (Bill), Hank Turner (Sheila), Barbara Hall, Ethel Hislope (Jim), and Joe Turner; along with many nieces & nephews, his extended family, the Kindreds; his beloved friends, Wallace Dean Reams, Sr., and Marshall Patrick Blanton; as well as many others too numerous to mention.

He was preceded in death by: two sons, Joshua Lee Turner & Jeremy Lance Turner; and one sister, Rebbeca Turner.

Services will be conducted at 6:30 PM Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond, with Rev. Calvin Marshall officiating.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation starting at 4:00 PM Thursday, at the funeral home.
