Juan Manuel Esquivel
September 12, 1953 – February 21, 2026
Juan Manuel Esquivel, age 72, of
Alton, Texas, entered eternal rest on February 21, 2026, at DHR Hospital, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family.
Born on September 12, 1953, in Ocampo, Guanajuato, Mexico, Juan was the beloved son of Manuel A. Esquivel and Francisca Torres Esquivel. From humble beginnings, he carried with him the values of hard work, faith, and devotion to family that would define the course of his life.
Juan was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Mary M. Esquivel. Together they built a life rooted in loyalty, perseverance, and unconditional love. He was a proud and loving father to his four sons: Marco A. Esquivel (Kimi), Gabriel Esquivel, Raymundo A. Esquivel (Ary), and Juan M. Esquivel Jr. (Annalee). His greatest joy was his family, and everything he did was done with them in mind.
For over 50 years, Juan dedicated himself to his craft as an automotive technician work he performed with pride and passion. As the owner of Chicago Auto Parts & Service in
Mission, Texas, he earned the respect of his community through honesty, skill, and integrity. He never sought attention or recognition, yet his quiet strength and steadfast character left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
To his family, Juan was more than a provider he was their anchor. He was the one they turned to when life felt overwhelming, their source of calm in uncertain times, and their comfort when clarity was needed. He was a man of deep integrity, kindness, and compassion. His wisdom was simple yet powerful, taught not through speeches but through example.
Juan is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren who will forever carry his lessons, his work ethic, and his gentle spirit in their hearts. He is further survived by his sisters, Maria Elena Aguinaga, Carmel Mardigano, and Leticia Esquivel, and his brother, Arturo Esquivel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel A. Esquivel (2018) and Francisca Torres Esquivel (2003).
Though he never liked being the center of attention, today we pause to honor a life well-lived a husband who loved faithfully, a father who led by example, a grandfather who adored deeply, and a man whose legacy will continue through the generations that follow.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 4 to 9 p.m., with a Rosary at 7 p.m., at Flores Funeral Home in
Mission, Texas. Following the visitation, cremation will take place. During this time of profound sorrow, the family extends their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff of Flores Funeral Home for their kindness and support.
We find comfort in knowing that his love does not end here. It lives on in every story shared, every lesson remembered, and every act of kindness done in his name.
Juan Manuel Esquivel will be profoundly missed and forever cherished.
