Juan Manuel Hernández Navarro nació el 1 de julio de 1960 en Mexicali, Baja California, México, hijo de Enrique Hernández Castillo y Catalina Navarro Ruelas. Falleció el 15 de octubre de 2025 en Lubbock, Texas.
Juan nació y creció en Mexicali. Posteriormente se mudo a Sinaloa para trabajar como mecánico. Allí conoció a su bella esposa, Teresa. Regresaron a Mexicali, se casaron y tuvieron tres hijos. En 1995, la pareja, con sus hijos, se mudó a Tatum, Nuevo México, donde tuvo a su último hijo. Juan era un hombre muy trabajador y versátil. Trabajó para J.W. Spears como mecánico/operador durante 15 años. Después, empezó a trabajar para Hungry Horse, donde permaneció hasta su jubilación. A Juan le encantaba cocinar y realizar tareas domésticas. Realizaba proyectos mecánicos, desde reparaciones de motores pequeños hasta motores de gran tamaño. También le gustaba pescar, pero sobre todo, le encantaba pasar tiempo con sus nietas. A Juan le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Enrique y Catalina; sus hermanos, Senovio, Arturo, Henry y Enrique; y su hermana, Enriqueta.
Le sobreviven su esposa, Teresa; sus hijos, Juan, Daniel y Julio; su hija, Jhovanna; sus nietas, Isabella, Olivia y Sofía; sus hermanos, Carmen, Mauro, Félix, Kenia, Guadalupe y María; su sobrina Lorenia; y numerosos sobrinos, sobrinas, primos y amigos.
El velatorio se llevará a cabo el 23 de octubre de 2025, de 16:00 a 20:00 h, en la Funeraria Griffin, ubicada en 401 N Dalmont Street, Hobbs, Nuevo México. El rosario comenzará a las 18:00 h.
La misa se celebrará el 24 de octubre de 2025 a las 11:00 h en la Iglesia Católica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, ubicada en 914 S Selman St, Hobbs, Nuevo México. Juan Manuel Hernández Navarro was born July 01, 1960, in Mexicali Baja California, México to Enrique Hernández Castillo and Catalina Navarro Ruelas. He passed away October 15, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas.
Juan was born and raised in Mexicali. He later went to Sinaloa to work as a mechanic. This is where he met his beautiful wife, Teresa. They moved back to Mexicali, married and had three children. In 1995 the couple with kids in tow moved to Tatum, New Mexico and had their last son. Juan worked hard and was a man of all trades. He worked for J.W. Spears as a mechanic / operator for 15 years. He then began working for Hungry Horse and remained there until he retired. Juan loved to cook and work around the house. He did mechanical projects from small engine repairs to full size engines. He also liked to fish, but most of all he loved to spend time with his granddaughters.
Juan was preceded in death by his parents Enrique and Catalina, brothers Senovio, Arturo, Henry, and Enrique, and sister Enriqueta.
He is survived by his wife Teresa, sons Juan, Daniel, Julio, daughter Jhovanna, granddaughters Isabella, Olivia, Sofia, siblings Carmen, Mauro, Felix, Kenia, Guadalupe, Maria, a special niece Lorenia and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held October 23rd, 2025, from 4:00PM – 8:00PM at Griffin Funeral Home 401 N Dalmont Street, Hobbs, New Mexico. Rosary will begin at 6:00PM
Mass will be held October 24th, 2025, at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 914 S Selman St, Hobbs, NM.
