With immense love and deepest respect, we remember Juan Manuel Gomez Marrero (May 14, 1951 - February 2, 2026), a remarkable individual whose life was a testament to resilience, hard work, and selfless devotion to his family. A native of Caguas, Puerto Rico, Juan Manuel's journey from his birthplace to his long-time residence in Springfield, Massachusetts, was marked by extraordinary courage and unwavering determination.

Juan Manuel was a master of his craft, an electrician who illuminated many lives beyond the homes and offices he worked in. He was a city worker, a dedicated servant of the community whose work with Bernude y Longo in Caguas, PR until his retirement in 1984 was marked by professionalism and commitment. Juan Manuel's work was his passion, and in his own words, he would often say, "The only way to do great work is to love what you do." His dedication and love for his work are inspirations to us all.

Juan Manuel was a loving father, survived by his sons, Josue Gomez and Juan Gomez, his daughter-in-laws, Maria De Leon and Jeanny Mercado, his grandkids, Genesis Gomez and Janeylee Gomez, and 2 great-grandchildren. He was a pillar of strength for his family, guiding them with his wisdom and love. Preceded in death by his mother, Juana Marrero, and his father, Juan Manuel's memory will continue to shine in the hearts of his loved ones. The viewing for Juan Manuel will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Puerta Del Cielo® Funeral Home, 730 State Street, Springfield, Massachusetts. Interment will follow at 11:30 AM, at Oak Grove Cemetery of Springfield Inc., 426 Bay Street, Springfield, Massachusetts.

Juan Manuel Gomez Marrero's life was a celebration of this sentiment. His warm-hearted nature and genuine kindness will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate to know him.
