Juanita Bohrer Obituary
Born June 14, 1936 on Bishop R.E.L. Strider Farm (Rose Hill) in Leetown, WV, she was the daughter of the late James E. Slusher, Sr. and Helen Mary Wilson Slusher.
June graduated from Charles Town High School in 1954. She retired from Jefferson Publishing Company (Spirit of Jefferson) in 1998 after 41+ years of service.
She is survived by one niece, Phyllis Gail Slusher and her friend, Sherman Parsons, one nephew, James M. Bohrer and wife, Penny of Greencastle, PA, and two great nephews, Riley and Logan Bohrer of Greencastle, PA, special friends, Connie Danner and son, Tim, David and Shirley Cheshire and Dr. Beverly Garrett and Dianne.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters and brothers in law, Helen Marie Jackson (Gene), Dorothy (Dot) Bohrer (Eddie), and two brothers, James E. (Bub) Slusher, Jr. (Dorothy), infant Donald William Slusher and her friend, Carolyn Kelley.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Edge Hill Cemetery, 604 Hunter Street, Charles Town, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choosing.
