Juanita Booker Obituary
August 21, 1930 - September 5, 2025
Columbus, Georgia - Mrs. Juanita Carson Booker, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and unwavering Servant of God, transitioned home peacefully on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 95 years of age. Mrs. Booker's life was a true testament to love, kindness, and unwavering strength and dedication to helping others.
A Memorial Service of Love and Thanksgiving for the life of Mrs. Juanita Carson Booker will be held Monday, September 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at First African Baptist Church, where Reverend Roderick B. Green, pastor, will officiate. An Ivy Beyond the Wall Service will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. in the Church Sanctuary. In lieu of floral tributes, the family asks that donations be made to SISTERS, Inc., PO Box 12096, Columbus, GA 31917, and/or Vanessa Booker Morgan Memorial Foundation. Online condolences and guest book signing may be made at progressivefunerahome.com. The Progressive staff is pleased to serve the Booker Family.

Mrs. Juanita Booker inspired so many to strive for excellence in all that you do. My most rememberable time with Mrs. Booker was at Kendrick High School. She was the best. She was known to us (my classmates) as Vanessa's momma. If something didn't go right at school, we would say, "Vanessa go and tell your momma." Sure enough, she took care of it. As an adult, I worked with her as one of our Partners in Education at Eddy Middle School. She had that same desire for the students to receive the best. She will be missed and I will cherish the moments that I had with her as a student at KHS and as an adult at Eddy Middle School. Rest in peace Mrs. Booker.

Serving with Juanita for over 15 years was such a great joy and an honor. I learned so much from her! The myriad ways in which she served others were truly inspirational to all of those who knew her. And a gift to those who enjoyed the fruits of her labor.May she rest in peace in God`s arms.
