Juanita Caligone Obituary

Juanita Theresa Caligone, age 88, peacefully transitioned into the arms of the Lord on November 2, 2025. She was born on September 30, 1937, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to the late Anthony Labbe and Isabella Porche.

Juanita married the love of her life, Bradley Caligone and together they shared nearly 70 wonderful years of marriage. Their union was blessed with three children: Anthony, Michael, and Cynthia.

Throughout her life, Juanita devoted herself to caring for others. She worked many years in the food service industry, where she never met a stranger and was always ready with a warm smile and a listening ear. Later, she found her true calling as a private healthcare worker, taking great pride in compassionately caring for her elderly patients.

When her own health began to decline, Juanita became a resident of Resthaven Nursing Home, where she spent her final nine years surrounded by love and care. She was the last surviving member of the Anthony and Isabella Labbe family.

Juanita was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Cynthia; sisters Hazel Thompson, Stella Labbe, Borita Jones, Lorita Kaiser, and Janice Boutte; and brother Harry Labbe.

A true nurturer, Juanita was the heart of her family - always ready to lend a hand, offer comfort, and care for loved ones in their times of need.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband Bradley; sons Anthony and Michael (Cynthia); grandchildren Joseph, Stephen, Allison, Erica, and Marcques; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Her warmth, faith, and love will live on in all who were blessed to know her.

Special thanks to Resthaven Nursing Home and Brighton Bridge Hospice for the care of our loved one.
