Lawrence Lee Joseph known to some as "Tom" was born November 29, 1957, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Henry Joseph and Mary Lewis Joseph. Lawrence was a jack of all trades and did a little bit of everything. He did carpentry work but specialized in flooring. He worked for the City of Lake Charles in the sanitation department, Blume and Tree Service, and later Labor Finance. When you think about missing him, think about his famous word, "WHOO NAH", cause he will definitely be missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Joseph departed this life on Friday, October 31, 2025, in Lake Charles. He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Jamie Batchan and Khalilah Johnson; sister, Rodell M. Landry; two brothers, Chester and Sidney Joseph; eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; caregivers Etta Faye and Gerald Jack; adopted nieces, Meyosha Fontenot and Marcia LaFleur; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary Joseph; siblings, Isaac, Vurnell, and Fannie Joseph. His visitation will be Friday, November 7, 2025, from 9AM with his funeral following at 10AM, at Greater St. Mary Baptist Church located at 1917 Harless Street in Lake Charles. Pastor Samuel C. Tolbert Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery under the direction of James Funeral Home.
