The staff of Heishman Funeral Home Inc., Heishman Funeral Service sends condolences to the family of Juanita Rose Diggs. Juanita Rose Diggs, affectionally known as "Meme" to so many, passed away peacefully at her home in Woodstock surrounded by her family on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the age of 92. She was born in Washington DC on October 26, 1932, to Albert B. Heath and Marguerite Cahill Heath of Arlington, VA. Her love for children gave her a lifelong career as a professional babysitter until she retired at the age of 82. She was an active member of the American Legion Post 139 and VFW Post #3150, where she enjoyed many hours volunteering and making long lasting friendships. She is survived by her two children, daughter, Carol Diggs Paulauskis (Brian) and her son, Steven J. Diggs Sr. (Elizabeth) both of Woodstock. Her four grandsons, Donald Crittenden, Sean Crittenden, Steven Diggs Jr., and Robert Diggs and her nine great grandchildren. Her husband, Joseph Shrum Diggs preceded her in death in 2011. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2pm-4pm, Sunday, October 26, 2025, at St. Paul's Heritage Center, 106 South High Street, Edinburg, VA.
