Juanita Amelia Bradley Edwards, 80, departed this life to be with the Lord on December 6, 2025. She was born on March 28, 1945, in
Osteen, FL, the daughter of the late Rev. Henry Louis and Johnnie Mae Robinson Bradley.
She graduated from Euclid High School. After completing high school, Juanita enrolled in a local college nursing program, where she earned her license as a Practical Nurse (LPN). She worked faithfully as a nurse in hospitals, nursing homes, and private-duty care for over 40 years until her retirement.
Juanita gave her life to the Lord at the age of 19 during a tent revival when a revivalist named Leroy Jenkins came to town.
She later became a member of the Tabernacle of Prayer for All People Church in Jamaica, Queens, NY, under the leadership of the late Apostle Johnnie Washington. When she moved back to Florida, she sought to remain connected with her church family and soon discovered Tabernacle of Prayer (True Holiness Deliverance Tabernacle) in
Sanford, FL, under the leadership of Overseer Carrie Buie Bryant. There, she became a devoted member. Juanita joyfully served in the choir and band and played the clarinet. She was a faithful, dedicated servant who never hesitated to help anyone in need as part of her Christian duty.
Juanita was known as a praying woman and a woman of great faith! She often testified about driving through school parking lots throughout Volusia County to pray for the students, teachers, and staff. She visited hospitals, walked through the halls and prayed for those hospitalized without setting foot in their rooms. She participated in many prayer groups and stood firmly on the Word of God concerning her family and her health. Juanita was diagnosed with stomach cancer and refused treatment, choosing instead to trust God for complete healing. She stood firm on Jeremiah 17:14 and Isaiah 53:5, and by faith and the Word of God, she was healed and never battled cancer again. She raised her children in the fear of the Lord, teaching them how to pray and trust God. She later helped raise her grandchildren, praying for them faithfully until she was no longer able.
Juanita leaves behind a lasting legacy of faith, family, love, and prayer.
Juanita leaves to cherish and mourn her memories: Sons, Alvin Mack Edwards, Jr and Derrick Edwards, Sr; Daughters, Shimira Latese Jackson and Joy Francis Brinson (Lorenzo); Grandchildren, Rashod Edwards,(7) Reyawana Edwards (4), Rakim Edwards (7), Lashonda Walker, Derrick Edwards, Jr, Dedrick Edwards (1), Devonte Edwards, Deaujanae Edwards, Julian, Javares, Mehki Jackson, (2) Shimira Williamson, Terrell Williamson (5), Tyler Williamson (2), and 30 great-grandkids; Siblings: Joy Frances Leonard, Rose Bradley, Gertrude Kendrick, Rev.
