Juanita G. Esqueda

Janie G. Esqueda, age 82, passed away peacefully on Friday July 25, 2025 at Sara
Roberts French Home in San Antonio, Tx. She was born October 4, 1942 to Juan
and Maria Gonzales. Janie truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures,
spending time with her daughters, son and her grandchildren whom she loved
very much and will be greatly missed. Janie received Jesus as her personal
saviour in 1970. She also enjoyed witnessing with daughter Lucia and started the
nursing home ministry and visit patients regularly with Lucia. She is proceeded
in death by husband Pedro Esqueda, grandson Charlie Montoya, parents Juan
and Maria Gonzales, her brothers Eluterio, Santos, Roman, and sister Angelita.
She is survived by daughters Lucia (Charles) Montoya, Jo Ann (John) Santos,
Rose (Martin) Ornelas, Son Noah (Valerie) Cervantes. Grandchildren Crystal
(Michael) Martinez, Serenity Cervantes, Sabrina Bendele, Nicole Coronado, 8
Great Grandchildren, 12 Great Great Grandchildren, brothers Henry Gonzales,
Paul Gonzales, sister Josefina, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts
and uncles. The funeral service will be held at Mission Park Funeral Chapels
South on August 5, 2025. Visitation from 4:00pm-8:00pm with prayer service /
speakers at 6:00pm with Rev. Tony Roy. Burial will be held August 6, 2025 at
8:00am with chapel service / speakers at 9:00am with Pastor Timothy Jordan
followed by procession to pass by Janie's House before laying to rest. Family
would also like to thank Sara Roberts French Home and Reliant at Home Hospice
Care staff for all the help, care and support that they all provided for Janie
