Juanita Hernandez
April 22, 1950 – July 12, 2025
It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Juanita Hernandez, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who peacefully entered eternal rest on July 12, 2025, at the age of 75.
Born on April 22, 1950, to the late Marcus and Eva DeLeon, Juanita lived a life full of grace, strength, and unwavering love for her family. She was the steady heart of her home-nurturing, kind, and always present with a warm smile and a generous spirit.
Juanita was the proud and loving mother of Mary Soria, Lisa Soria, Juan Soria Jr., and Sonia Soria. Her children were the light of her life, and she poured her heart into raising them with care, faith, and compassion. Her legacy continues through them and through her treasured grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and fulfillment.
She is also survived by her siblings: Estella Lopez, Esther DeLeon, Norma DeLeon, Levira Rocha, Rosanne DeLeon, Mary Lou DeLeon, Desidario DeLeon, and Juan DeLeon, all of whom will carry her memory with love and pride.
Juanita will be remembered for her gentle soul, her comforting presence, and the way she made everyone feel like family. Her love lives on in every meal shared, every story told, and every heart she touched.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at SouthPark Funeral Home, located at 1310 N. Main, Pearland, TX 77581. Funeral services will follow on Monday, July 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 2405 Navigation Blvd, Houston, TX 77003.
She may be gone from our sight, but she will never be gone from our hearts.
