Juanita "Bee" Hurst Obituary
Juanita "Bee" May Hurst, 96, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025, at her home at The Waters of Princeton. She was born June 16, 1929, to the late Ray Phillips and Hattie (Pleiss) Phillips and was a proud homemaker all her life. She married Don Hurst on January 29, 1955, and was married for 61 years before his passing in 2016. Bee's number one hobby was roller skating and will be remembered for taking her children to the roller rink when they were young. She also enjoyed keeping track of the family's genealogy records and made a binder that is valuable to the family even today. Bee collected tooth pick holders as a fun hobby and was a member of First General Baptist Church. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
Bee is survived by her children, Linda Tegmeyer of Indianapolis, Barbara Joy Belcher (Larry) of Petersburg, Bill Kolb (Carol) of Hatfield, Tony Hurst (Pam) of Princeton, Tracy Hurst (Charlotte) of Princeton, and Dean Hurst (Laura) of Lawrenceville; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son-in-law, Kent Tegmeyer.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton and officiated by Pastor Brad Keenan. Interment will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visiting hours will be held from 10:00 AM until the service time Monday at the funeral home.
The family would like to take this moment to thank all of the "angels" at The Waters who looked over Bee for the many years that she resided there. There are simply no words to convey the gratitude for their daily sacrifices and Bee loved many of them like her own children.
