Services celebrating and honoring the life and legacy of Juanita Ilene "Granny" Massey will begin at 2:30 PM Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with the Reverends Dr. John Temple and James Ruffin officiating. Interment will follow at Old Marion Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Ilene, 90, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family Friday, May 31, 2024.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 72 years, Ronnie Dalma Massey; her daughters Gayle Massey and Linda Massey Wilson (Jimmy); her grandchildren Nikki Barrios (Ross), Lamar Neal (Randi) and Eli Massey; her great-grandchildren Branton Martin, Maddox Neal, Hartley Grace Barrios, Hunter Barrios, and Tyler Gray Neal, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Ilene is preceded in death by her parents, Clarke and Mary Brown; her son, Glenn Hand; and her grandson, Jarrod Hand.
Pallbearers will be Lamar Neal, Eli Massey, Ross Barrios, Maddox Neal, Branton Martin, and Harold Harper. Honorary pallbearers Doctor Willie Greer and Jimmy Price.
The Massey Family suggests memorials be made as donations to the Gideon's International East Camp
