Juanita McCray Mosley

Juanita McCray-Mosley departed this life on February 12, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Lucille and Willie Johnson. She was born in West Point, Mississippi, and later relocated to Millsboro, Delaware, with her family.
Juanita attended school at the Johnson School in Millsboro, Delaware, Pine Forge Academy, Pine Forge, Pennsylvania, and Harmon School in Millsboro, Delaware.
Juanita was affectionally known as "Nit" or "Nita" by her loved ones. She met Norman McCray, Sr. through his sister, Libby. They later married and had six children from that union. Her husband loved visiting family members and took the whole family with him. Juanita continued that tradition even after he passed. She was kind and generous, willing to share whatever she had. She always let her children's friends and cousins come over to play and spend the night.
Juanita worked as a domestic worker for many years. Later, she retired to babysit her grandchildren.
Her heart's desire is to see Jesus when He returns. She attended the First Millsboro Seventh Day Adventist Church and served as an usher, deaconess, and leader of the Senior Citizens for one year.
52 years later, after the death of her first husband, she met Charles E. Mosley through her sister, Betty Hall. They were married in 2007 by Pastor Colby Matlock.
In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her husbands, Norman McCray and Charles Mosley; son, Cornell McCray; daughter-in-law, Azalea; grandsons, Gary Campbell and Charlie Gibbs; sister, Betty Hall; brothers, Sidney Murray and Henry Fordham; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Juanita Leaves to cherish her memory, children, Alvanna Dennis (Kevin), Juanita Hitchens (Charles), and Carl McCray (Rose) all of Millsboro, DE, Reta McCray, Dover, DE, and Norman McCray (Meah), Wilmington, DE; two stepsons, Charles Short, and Charles Mosley; three brothers, Theodore Johnson, Willie Johnson, and Chris Johnson; four sisters-in-law, Yvonne Johnson, Norma Johnson, Alice Hitchens and Agness Lee; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 32 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, and close friends.
