WOODRUFF- Juanita Neely Redden,86, formerly 275 Calicott Redden Drive went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Woodruff Manor.
She was born November 13, 1938, in Greer to the late Roy B. Neely Sr. and Katherine Smith Neely and was the widow of James Elmer Redden. She was a member of Bellview Baptist Church where she formerly served as WMU Associational Director and served the community of Woodruff through her efforts at the Woodruff Soup Kitchen. She was an expert seamstress, she spent many years working with Butte Knit in Spartanburg and Springs Industries in Lyman. Mrs. Redden truly loved working in the garden and enjoying the fruits of her labor.
Surviving are her sons, Terry Lee Bridges (Darlene), Douglas Scott Bridges (Ethel) and Ryan Neely Bridges (Danna); stepchildren, Mary Callicott and Stewart Redden; brother, Rev. Richard Neely; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Paula D. Bridges, stepchildren, Eric Redden, Marty Redden and Myron Redden; siblings, Roy Neely Jr., Dorothy Pomeroy, Sharon Trotter, Leona Sanders, Estelle Smith and Peggy Neely.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary officiated by Rev. Carey Caldwell. Interment will follow at Westwood Memorial Gardens, 6101 Reidville Road, Moore, S.C.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bellview Baptist Church Women's Ministry, 901 Bellview Road, Woodruff, S.C. 29388 or Woodruff Area Soup Kitchen, P.O. Box 352, Woodruff, S.C. 29388.
