Judith Anderson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pierschbacher Funeral Homes - Chariton on Feb. 18, 2026.
Judith Anderson was born on June 29, 1946, to Alfred and Eloise Langloss. She grew up in the Corydon/Allerton area in the country, where she developed a love for small-town life and close family ties. She was the youngest of three children, with Donald and David, her big brothers.

She later met her husband, Dean Anderson. They both worked for a company called Green Thumb, which is where they met and began their life together. Their time together marked an important chapter of her life and brought her companionship and shared memories.

She had lovely little habits and ways that we will all remember and cherish. She enjoyed her life in Corydon and later moved to a little apartment in Jewell before entering the nursing home in Hubbard, Iowa. Each place she lived became part of her story and held special meaning to her. She loved her little walks around town, coming up to the farmers' market and grocery store and especially riding her 3-wheel bike around town. She would go camping at times with her brother David and sister-in-law Carolyn Langloss, creating simple moments that became lasting memories.

When she lived in Jewell, she attended the Bethesda Lutheran Church, where she made many friends and found fellowship. She loved to see her nieces and nephews, with the orneriest one, Cheveyo, being a different and special one for her to pick on and love, a role she embraced with warmth and humor.

Left here to remember her with smiles is her sister-in-law, Carolyn Langloss (David); her niece Dawn Langloss, along with her 11 children; Tonya Lancaster and her daughter; Raymond Langloss and his children; and many family members in the Allerton/Cordon area, all of whom carry fond memories of Judith in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Eloise Baughman Langloss, and her father, Alfred DeWayne Langloss, as well as her older brothers, Donald Langloss and David Langloss, both in 2015. Her baby brother Thomas passed away as an infant. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dean Anderson.

She will be greatly missed with tears but remembered with love, and her family finds comfort in knowing she is overjoyed with her healing in heaven, alongside Jesus, her unborn child, and her family there before her.
