Judith Angello Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Fry & Prickett Funeral Home - Carthage on May 2, 2025.
Judith Angello (December 12, 1940 – April 29, 2025)
Judith "Judy" Ann Angello, 84, left this world peacefully on April 29, 2025, at The Fox Hollow Assisted Living Community.
Born in Manhattan, New York, to Isaac and Pauline Abrams, Judy lived a life filled with compassion, resilience, and tenacity. She enjoyed a long successful career as the Executive Secretary for the Department of Anesthesiology in New York City. In her retirement, Judy remained active and engaged in her community. She eagerly embraced her artistic passion after 60 years of age and created works that rival the mastery of seasoned artists.
Judy touched the lives of many with her kindness, endless generosity, unwavering support, and ability to see beauty in everyday moments. She was a pillar of strength for her family, always putting others before herself, and making sure everyone felt loved and valued.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Joseph Angello, whose memory she held close to her heart every day. Judy's legacy lives on through her longtime companion and best friend Michael Cunningham, surviving children, Gina Guzsaly (Stephen), Sandi DiStefano (Lou), grandchildren Joseph Angello (Sarah), Bryce Angello (Felicia), Louis DiStefano, Nicholas DiStefano and great grandchildren Cali, Marcie, Joe-Joe, and Uriah Joseph. They will forever carry forward her teachings, love, and spirit. She will be remembered not only for the laughter she shared, but for the profound impact she had on those fortunate enough to know her.
Judy's family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with her son. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of Judy's life will be held for friends and family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Hospice and Palliative Care Fund/Foundation of FirstHealth, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374; Caring Hearts for Canines, P.O. Box 1219, Southern Pines, NC 28388; or a shelter of your choice that empowers women and children.
We kindly invite you to share your cherished memories and condolences within her memorial at PinesFunerals.com under obituaries.
