Mrs. Judith Ann (Gettings) Beck, of Framingham, died Monday, January 26, 2026 in Timothy Daniels House in Holliston after an illness. She was 74.
Judith was born September 1, 1951 in Fall River a daughter of the late John and Marjorie (Reagan) Gettings. Raised in Waltham, MA she graduated from Saint Mary’s High School in 1969 and later earned her Nursing degree from Massachusetts Bay Community College.
A dedicated registered nurse she worked at several area hospitals but many years at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Brighton. Her natural ability to bring tender care and a warm smile to the many for whom she cared was her gift and blessing.
Judy leaves a legacy of love and generosity and will be lovingly remembered for her quick wit and humor. She loved living in Framingham and tending to her gardens and when afforded some quiet time she loved reading a good book.
Married to Carl F. Beck. She was predeceased by her siblings, Allen Gettings, Marilyn Goode (Peter), Kathleen Arsenault (Ronald) and Robert Gettings.
She leaves her son, Matthew Beck (Kristen Salera) of Franklin; her grandchildren, Christian and Abigail Beck; her siblings, Eileen Volz (Charles) of Fleming Island, Florida and Thomas Gettings of Carmichael, California; nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Judy’s life by gathering for an Wake from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3rd at Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. Burial is private.
