Judith Bergen

CUYAHOGA FALLS- Judith "Judy" Evelyn Bergen (nee Strieter) was a devoted and supportive wife and a caring and loving mother. Her family, parents and extended family meant a lot to her. A graduate of Valparaiso University and holding a graduate degree from Kent State University, she taught elementary school in both Illinois and Windham, Ohio. Judy was an avid reader, and she taught her own children and her pupils to love books. Family and church meant everything to her. Judy and Ronald were married 59 1/2 years. She loved to travel and was the arranger of family vacations. Judy was born October 27, 1939, beloved wife of Rev. Ronald Bergen, loving mother of Jennifer Albrecht (Mark), Michael Bergen, and Deborah Bergen (Eric Madden). Sister of Susan Roswurm (Dean), John Strieter (Roseann), Kathryn Strieter, and infant June Strieter, and many cousins, nephew, and nieces. Daughter of the late Norman and Evelyn Strieter. Judy passed away on December 5, 2022. Visitation at 10 a.m. and Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2141 Fifth Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221 followed by a lunch. Family suggests memorials be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church. Arrangements by Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home.
